Mindful Art
Art Classes for stress management and relaxation techniques

Mindful Art Class FAQs

What happens in the class?

Please arrive approx 10 minutes before class starts to get comfortable with a cup of tea and a biscuit, ready to start on the hour. We want this to be as relaxing as possible for you, so being late will add to your stress!

The set up:

  • 5-10 minutes guided meditation.
  • 20 minutes drawing.
  • 15 minutes colouring.
  • 15 minutes painting.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the class. Sign up is through the classes page.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope just yourself. We supply all materials - pens, pencils, paintbrushes and paper.

However, if you’ve got preferred materials, you can of course bring them along.

But I can't draw!

You don't have to be able to draw at all! The classes are step-by-step taught which means everyone ends the lesson with something they'll be proud of. The point of the class isn't to create a masterpiece, but to learn a new way to relax and manage stress, so don't worry about your drawing, painting or doodling abilities.

Is there an age limit to the classes?

Essentially our classes are open for ages 5-105 but sometimes an ages limit helps people open up a little better so we tend to offer age groups on our classes - secondary school groups and adult groups. However, please don’t hesitate to get in contact if you’ve got any queries and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Are you disclosed?

Yes. Your teacher has all documentation from Disclosure Scotland to be able to teach children, adults and vulnerable adults. If you’d like to see a copy of this, please just ask.

Are the classes available for children?

We don't currently run Mindful Art Classes for children under the age of 13. However, if you're interested in other art classes, the co-founder and tutor Kayleigh McCallum runs a range of children's classes - click here to find out more. Children's parties are also available.

How do I get there?

We are a 5 minute walk from Bridgeton train station and an 8 minute walk from Bellgrove train station. If you drive, there is free on-street parking right outside the front door.

Please note our front door doesn’t look much, but we’re lovely inside :)

Can I refund or exchange?

We will happily offer a refund or class exchange if you are unable to attend a class as long as it is 48 hours prior to the class starting. Unfortunately if we do not hear from you within the timings outlined or you do not show, we are unable to refund or exchange.

This is due to being unable to refill the slot for the class within the time limit - hope you understand!

However, we do allow customer transfers until 1 hour at least 48 hours before  before class, so if someone would like to take your place, please email to let us know and send them along with your order number and name.

Should you need a refund or a class exchange (ie. you won’t be at the class you booked for) please email mindfulart@kayleighmccallum.com at least 48 hours before the start of your class, otherwise you will forfeit your place with no refund.

If you would like to transfer your place to another person, please send an email to mindfulart@kayleighmccallum.com at least 1 hour before the beginning of class to notify of the replacement name. Please be sure to give your replacement your order number.
